Peer-Review

All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team. If the decision is positive, they undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two independent expert reviewers. Both parties remain anonymous throughout this process.

Revision & Decision

Authors will be informed in detail about the result via email. If revisions are recommended, they will receive detailed feedback. Should a further round of review be necessary, the reviewers will be contacted again.

Review Criteria

Depending on the focus of the contribution, the following criteria are applied:

✓  Theoretical & methodological grounding ✓  Research gap & research question
✓  State of research & literature ✓  Quality of data & analyses
✓  Conceptual clarity & consistency ✓  Stringency of argumentation
✓  Presentation of results ✓  Adequate conclusions

 

After Acceptance of the Contribution

Proofs
Authors receive the print version as a PDF for review. Major corrections are no longer possible at this stage.
Publication & Complimentary Copies
After the issue is published, each author will receive a complimentary copy. All articles are also permanently available online as full text and are searchable.
