Open Access, License and Terms of Use

The IHF is entitled to publish the texts in print in the Beiträge zur Hochschulforschung and to make them available online on the IHF website (as Open Access), as well as to republish them if needed, including in new media.

The IHF is entitled to publish information, abstracts, summaries, and short extracts of the texts, and to link the publications on websites of specialist information services, research institutes, higher-education institutions, scientific organizations, non-profit organizations, as well as library servers and newsletters in the field of higher education and social research.

Authors retain full copyright and all publication rights to their texts. After publication by the IHF, they have the right to republish their articles in any form (secondary publication rights). They may not enter into agreements with publishing companies or other third parties that would restrict the IHF's right to use the article in accordance with the points above.

By submitting their work, authors confirm that they hold the necessary rights to texts, images, graphics, or data and are responsible for their content. Publication is Open Access under the Creative Commons Atrribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). This license permits reading, downloading, copying, distributing, adapting, and also commercial use of the content, provided that the original authors and the source are properly acknowledged.
