The Journal of Open Research in Education (JORE) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing research and critical debate on Open Research in the field of education. Established in 2026 within Network 12 “Open Research in Education” of the European Educational Research Association (EERA), the journal provides an international—particularly European—forum for scholarly work on open practices, epistemological perspectives on openness, and the infrastructures and governance of educational knowledge.

We welcome original research articles, critical examinations of current developments in open research, conceptual and methodological contributions, and innovative approaches to transparency, data practices, and knowledge infrastructures in educational science.
