n light of the contemporary crisis of religious language, books for childern and younger readers offer fascinating, rarely recognized perspectives. Deeply rooted in today’s life they illuminate anthropological, ethical and religious questions – and offer their own answers and solutions. Their visual and textual language can be used for processes of religious education without being instrumental. This article reflects on basic hermeneutics and didactic considerations, exploring them by showing outstanding examples.
