The article presents a selected explanatory video from the university project “Interreli-gious Learning through Explanatory Videos,” which is analyzed by an interreligious re-search team consisting of a Sunni Muslim and a Roman Catholic researcher. The team explores the question of the extent to which prospective religious education teachers and non-denominational students can succeed in portraying Muslims in a diversity-sensitive manner in the explanatory videos they produce. To answer this question, the concept of attitude and the concepts of religious discrimination in the context of inter-religious learning, prejudice, stereotypes, and othering are discussed. After the project presentation, key findings on the reflection processes of Catholic religious education teachers will be summarized and ideas for diversity-sensitive religious education will be provided.
